FrameNotes is free to read and runs no display advertising. We are paid through affiliate links. Here is exactly how that works and what it does and doesn't change.
Affiliate links
When you click a "Shop at James Oro" button or another link to a retailer and then buy something, the retailer pays us a small percentage of the sale. The price you pay is the same whether you come through our link or go to the retailer directly. Affiliate links are marked with rel="sponsored" in the page code, and every page that contains them carries a notice near the top.
Which retailers
At present our only affiliate relationship is with www.jamesoro.com. We don't have a relationship with any of the alternative brands we mention in comparisons. If that changes, this page will be updated.
What commissions don't change
- Which products appear in a catalog: every in-stock model from the brand is listed, not a hand-picked set.
- Prices shown: they are the retailer's listed prices on the date stated.
- Ratings and conclusions: see how we rate. We publish weaknesses as well as strengths, and we recommend alternatives from brands that pay us nothing.
Paid advertising
We sometimes buy search ads to bring readers to our catalogs and reviews. Those ads link to this site, not to the retailer, and the page you land on is the same page every other visitor sees.
Products and images
Product photographs on catalog and model pages are the retailer's own images, used to identify the products we describe. Screenshots are used for review purposes. Trademarks belong to their owners, and FrameNotes is not affiliated with or endorsed by James Oro or any other brand.
